Wisconsin Man Sues Police Over Armored Vehicle Use in Property Seizure
A 75-year-old Wisconsin man is suing the Town of Stettin after two dozen police showed up in armored vehicles at his home because he owed $86,000. Police called in the reinforcements after no one came to the door when they knocked even though people were inside; they say the vehicles were used encourage cooperation and help count several thousand pallets and tractors on the property. Roger Hoeppner is suing for pain, suffering, emotional distress inflict,damage to reputation and economic loss. The town has a history of conflict between residents and the police force.
