Xbox One Rolls out Without Kinect, Microsoft drops Xbox Live Requirement
Microsoft announced the Xbox One, scheduled to be released on June 9th, will not have Kinect and will be priced at $399. The dip in price will allow the new system to match the price of Sony's PlayStation 4. The company has also decided to do away with requiring an Xbox Live Gold subscription for streaming apps like Netflix, Hulu, Skype, Internet Explorer and more.
